WATCH: Ronaldo’s Reaction To Old Trafford Pitch Invader

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United was the talk of the town during their crucial UEFA Champions League encounter against Juventus.

The Italian giants won 1-0 on the night to maintain their perfect start to their campaign. United limped off in another dismal night at Old Trafford, and for the second time in a row, the Mancunian club failed to score a goal in the Champions League at home.

Ronaldo helped setup Juve’s winner in the 17th minute, with his cross reaching Paulo Dybala, who finished from close range. That was enough for a spirited Juventus side to seal all 3 points.

The Italian champions dominated proceedings and had several chances to extend their lead during the first half. They were completely dominant and played with a tempo.

United improved after the break, but didn’t trouble Juventus. They only had one serious effort at goal, when Paul Pogba saw his shot rebound off the post.

The match had one moment though that will garner more attention than the home side’s sorry display. A Manchester United fan showed his love for Cristiano Ronaldo as he ran onto the pitch to meet his hero.

The stadium stewards stopped the person from reaching the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. The former was still able to stretch his arm out towards the legendary forward. The footage below shows Ronaldo’s reaction.

The former Real Madrid man was seen pointing his thumb up to the pitch invader, as he was forced down by security before being taken off the pitch.

CR7 showed his composure with his reaction to the fan, and appeared calm, showing the invader some sympathy.
