A Manchester United fan jumped onto the pitch just moments after the full-time whistle to get a picture with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jose Mourinho’s men had a difficult night as they faced Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri took the lead through Paulo Dybala, who managed to score from close range. The Red Devils found their foot as the game progressed, but couldn’t threaten the opposition defence enough.

The game ended 1-0 in the favour of the Old Lady, putting them in prime position to secure early qualification to the knockout stage. Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford after 5 years, failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

The Portuguese captain was met with a couple of pitch invaders during his visit to where it all began. Fans going to extreme lengths to meet their favourite stars isn’t an unfamiliar sight, but Cristiano Ronaldo chose a different approach this time around.

The forward was seen enjoying the atmosphere and applauding the fans on the Old Trafford turf after full-time, when a Manchester United fan managed to evade the stewards and ran towards him to click a picture.

While Ronaldo did give in to his request of clicking a selfie, The Sun claims that the 33-year-old also handed the supporter some stern piece of advice.

Meanwhile, Manchester United could be in for some bad news from the UEFA, as not only did they arrived late to the stadium for the second consecutive time in the Champions League, but also failed to contain a pitch invader.
