Transfer rumours in football are a constant, but Manchester United being involved with every other name out there is as definite to happen as anything else.

The Red Devils are in a phase to forget, and while the futures of their manager and a few star players remain uncertain, news of them going after each available talent in Europe flies fast.

Among the countless names they have been linked with so far, recent reports have added another one to it. According to sources in Mirror, Tanguy Ndombele is now a potential target for Ed Woodward and his team.

The 21-year-old is seen as one of the most promising youngsters in Europe, and is on the radar of quite a few clubs. United seem to be in the race for Ndombele’s signature along with fellow rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

The Frenchman has impressed one and all with his performances with Lyon over the past 18 months, and Pep Guardiola’s side witnessed that first hand when the Ligue 1 team defeated his side at the Etihad in the Champions League recently.

The player has also broken into the French national side this season, proving that he has what it takes to be part of the World Champions’ squad.

Manchester City and Chelsea have had a close eye on their target off late, and scouts from both camps were present at Lyon’s fixture against Hoffenheim in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The box-to-box midfielder could be a huge solution to Jose Mourinho’s attacking woes, as he would add some quality in the centre of the park. However, £55 million or above is rumoured to be the price the Red Devils would have to pay for his services.
