Memphis Depay Reprimanded By Lyon Manager For Poor Attitude
After being deemed to be the next best thing at Manchester United and failing to deliver, not many have what it takes to get back up and prove everyone wrong.
However, the case is different when it comes to Memphis Depay, as the former no. 7 Red Devil left Old Trafford to go to Lyon, and has since become the player people were waiting to see.
A forward with incredible style, charisma, and bucket-loads of talent, one can also agree that a hint of attitude and arrogance is always a part of Depay’s characteristics.
While he is known to regard himself highly, his latest comments have not gone down well with Lyon manager Bruno Genesio.

Despite scoring three goals in three games, Bruno was not happy with his forward’s comments, and gave him a brutal dressing-down in front of the squad.
Memphis was left on the bench in Lyon’s recent game vs Angers, and in spite of coming on and scoring, he said: “I’m sick of hearing every time that I changed the match. I still don’t feel like a respected player. I get the job done every time, I’m mentally strong. I have to accept the coach’s decision.”

The Dutch international also added: “I’m a little disappointed, I think I deserve more respect. I deserve better than that and I should play every game.”
What followed these comments were some sarcastic replies from the manager (via RMC Sport): “I want to apologise to Memphis. I apologise for any time you were late for the training, and I apologise for you wearing shoes from the sponsor instead of the club, knowing that it is forbidden.
Bruno further added: “I apologise for your inadequate warm up in Angers, when you were too late and your lack of commitment. Memphis, to have a good career, you will have to be humble.”
