Cristiano Ronaldo has been continuing the good work at Juventus both on and off the field since his move from Real Madrid in the summer.

The Portuguese has already bagged seven goals in his first 10 games in the Italian top-flight. We all know how the workaholic keeps himself up and running, and he has been an inspiration for many others over the last decade.

CR7’s brilliance in fitness levels and the hunger to succeed was recently pointed out by his Juve teammate Blaise Matuidi. The midfielder revealed what Ronaldo was up to after the side’s recent win over Manchester United in the Champions League.

Ronaldo, who played an important role in helping Juve beat United at Old Trafford, was singled out by the midfielder.

Matuidi told RMC Sport: “We were all dead tired after the match against Manchester United and the day after, except Cristiano.”

The Frenchman further spoke about Ronaldo’s work ethic at the age of 33, and praised the Portuguese for having a positive influence over everyone.

“He’s been working like crazy ever since he got here. He’s been at it more than anyone else and he told me he ‘had to’ behave like that. That’s why at 33, he’s been an example for all of us and given us an extra stimulus. His influence isn’t limited to his work during the week,” added Matuidi.

Ronaldo contributed crucially last weekend as well, as his brace sealed Juve’s 2-1 comeback win over Empoli. Their next game is against Cagliari on Saturday, and Cristiano will be as keen as ever to make his presence felt.
