It was in 2015 when former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal went on to sign the then 19-year-old starlet Anthony Martial from French side Monaco.

With Martial’s deal back then, United had broken the world record for the highest transfer fee paid for a teenager.

The forward had a great first campaign under LVG, and also won the FA Cup that season. United his successor, Jose Mourinho, Martial experienced two mixed seasons filled with inconsistency.

He was often dropped to the bench, as other star players got more chances ahead of him to showcase their attributes. The following summer was difficult, with speculations on the rise that Martial was unhappy at the club. His agent also confirmed that he was reconsidering his future at Old Trafford.

But things changed drastically as the 2018-19 season progressed. Martial found himself in a rich vein of form, and has managed to score six goals in his last five Premier League games, which includes a brace against Chelsea in October.
