Man United ‘Ready To Welcome’ Juventus Star In January Transfer Window
Manchester United are eager to bring in Mehdi Benatia as an immediate solution to their defensive issues.
Reports of the Red Devils’ interest in the Juventus centre-back have been doing the rounds since the start of November, with Jose Mourinho said to be desperate for reinforcements in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Now, according to Tuttosport, the Mancunian giants are one of the clubs that are “ready to welcome” the 31-year-old come January.
Serie A giants AC Milan and Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are the other parties interested in securing the defender’s services, the same report adds.

His former club Marseille as well as Manchester United, on the other hand, are capable of “immediately satisfying Juventus from an economic point of view,” which makes them the frontrunners in this transfer race.

Juventus value Benatia around €20 million, but if previous reports are any indication, a fee in the range of €15 million could prove to be enough to sign the former Roma and Bayern Munich star.
With Jose Mourinho’s squad consisting of a leaky back-line, the arrival of the experienced centre-back could definitely solve their problems in one fell swoop.
