REVEALED: David De Gea Wants To Know One Thing Before Signing New Contract
While Manchester United fans eagerly await the announcement of a new deal for their primary shot-stopper, they will not be happy to know it all depends on Jose Mourinho and his time at the club.
The manager has been under severe scrutiny this season, and the poor performances, coupled with a lack of winning determination, have set a countdown for his imminent departure from the club.
However, while some fans wait for the exit of the Portuguese, recent reports might suggest that his presence is key for the big names to stay put at Old Trafford.
According to rumours coming in from Mirror, goalkeeper David de Gea is not keen on signing a new contract until he knows for certain whether Mourinho will be the man in charge next season.

The club has an option to extend the Spaniard’s contract by a year, but talks have come to a standstill.
The report indicated that ‘Big Dave’ will not put pen to paper before being told which direction the club intends to head, and despite him being happy in England, winning trophies is still a top priority.

United’s no. 1 has won the Premier League only once since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2011, and is eager to clinch some major titles in the near future, including the Champions League.
De Gea wants to play for glory, just like the side did under Sir Alex Ferguson, and if the Red Devils do not start genuinely competing for the major titles, keeping a hold of of the Spanish international might become too difficult.
