Zlatan Names Dream XI Of The Best Teammates He’s Played With
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a talent like few others. Having played across numerous European powerhouses, the Swedish striker boasts of an enviable resume.
During his long career, which still shows no hints of slowing down, he has managed to play alongside some of the most brilliant names in world football. This list alone ought to be an object of much envy.
As of such, when the need arrived for the big man to name his dream XI, the results were bound to be interesting.
One object of brilliance in his list is certainly the fact that he’s played alongside all the players he’s named. The next, more predictable, and almost typical Zlatan feature, is that he himself leads the line in his dream XI.

Joining him upfront are Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho, followed by a midfield composed of Patrick Vieira, Xavi, and Pavel Nedved, which is certainly a tough lot.
As for defensive inclusions, Zlatan’s backline is populated by Lilian Thuram, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta, and Maxwell, with the goalkeeping spot occupied with Gianluigi Buffon.
This list says a lot about the Swede’s choices and preferences, and clearly, a bias exists regarding his time at AC Milan and PSG.
The Instagram post in which he reveals this list holds the caption: “In I Am Football, I present my dream team. I also put in 50 pages with complete statistics and fun facts from my career, like how many goals I have done with my right foot and how many minutes I played with Inter. It will give you something to talk about this Christmas.”

The lack of Manchester United players is quite telling here, although Zlatan cheekily almost included De Gea’s name in his substitution list, only to be crossed out.
The names that did make it there were those of Julio Cesar, Andres Iniesta, Fabio Cannavaro, Gennaro Gattuso, and Clarence Seedorf.
