What Luke Shaw Said About Jose Mourinho After His Sacking
It’s been a week since Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from Manchester United, and things already appear to be bright and pleasant at the Theatre of Dreams.
Not only have smiles returned to the faces of the people associated with the club, but the team has also been displaying beautiful football on the pitch.
While these results could very well lead one to conclude that Jose Mourinho was indeed the problem at Old Trafford, a former player of his has still demanded that the Portuguese be shown some respect.
Luke Shaw was one of the players to receive the heaviest of public criticism from the ex-gaffer. He was almost on the verge of departing from the club, until he gave it his all to return into the manager’s favour, and re-establish himself at the club.

Now a first-choice Manchester United left-back, the Englishman has spoken about Mourinho, urging one and all to show their utmost respect for the tactician and his achievements at the Mancunian outfit.
“It’s not very nice when something as big as that (Mourinho’s dismissal) happens at the club, but I think we all, as players and as a team, show respect in what happened,” Shaw stated.

“People might be quick to forget what Jose did for United – the three trophies he won – he did a lot. One of the trophies (Europa League) was one we had not won before, and he took us to three trophies in one season.
“So those people need to respect him and remember what he did, not only us as a team to win those trophies but the fans as well.”
Well said, Shaw! Respect.
