Pogba Is The Best Midfielder In Europe On His Day: Phil Neville
Paul Pogba grabbed a brace against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday to give Manchester United all three points in the Premier League. The Boxing Day match saw the Reds beat the bottom-placed side 3-1 at Old Trafford.
Pogba has been the centre of discussion for quite some time, especially due to his frosty relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho.
The midfielder faced intense scrutiny for not living up to the mark, and his antics on and off the field were major reasons behind Jose’s decision to sideline him.
But under new interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the World Cup winner seems to be getting back to the groove. He assisted twice in the 5-1 win against Cardiff last weekend, and with his brace on Boxing Day, he managed to bring back smiles on the faces of the fans.

Now, Manchester United legend Phil Neville has hailed the France international as the ‘best midfielder in Europe on his day’.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Neville said: “They had the best player on the pitch, and probably the best midfielder in Europe on his day in Paul Pogba, who has had a disappointing, horrendous last 18 months at the club because of the fall-out with the manager.”

Pogba, who returned to Old Trafford in 2016 under Jose, was at risk of departing from the club once again this January, after a complete breakdown with the Portuguese boss.
But Solskjaer has since come in and set fresh ideas, with his attacking philosophy fitting well with Pogba’s style of play. The midfielder had voiced for the same tactic under Jose earlier this season, which saw him be removed as the vice-captain.
The fanbase would now hope that Pogba grows more wings, and continues to enjoy his football at the Theatre of Dreams.
