WATCH: The Hillarious Disagreement Between Solskjaer And Sanchez
The FA Cup encounter between Manchester United and Reading ended 2-0, with the Red Devils qualifying for the next round on the back of goals from Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku.
United put up a largely uninspiring performance, with a Pogba-, Martial-, and Rashford-less starting lineup proving unable to carry the same attacking punch as the other four wins under the Norwegian gaffer. Regardless, the victory will be taken in good spirits.
Further, the game also featured fresh starts for Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. While the former netted the winner, which was assisted by the Chilean, the games wasn’t a convincing run from the duo.
Sanchez, in particular, didn’t put in a big impact to the game elsewhere, and had to be substituted in the second-half, albeit due to a knock he picked up in what looked to be the hamstring region. Following the substitution, an interesting gag ensured.

Of all the chairs the injured forward could choose from to sit on, the former Arsenal star elected to sit on the chair that Solskjaer had been occupying.
Sure enough, when the gaffer returned from the sideline, he and assistant coach Mike Phelan ushered Sanchez to the seat in the row in front of them. Smiles on the two faces showed that the encounter was a light affair, despite the manner in which the player was ousted.
The entire thing was caught on camera and the ensuing clip went viral. A couple of respondents pondered what would have occurred had Sanchez done the same under the reign of Jose Mourinho.
The bigger concern now is the full extent of the forward’s injury. Although his time under United has been sub-par, Saturday’s FA Cup encounter included, Solskjaer seemed to put much faith in his training antics.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to guide forward the player’s form, just like he showed him the right seat.
