Jose Mourinho Rejects Offer To Become The Manager Of Benfica
It could be a while before we see Jose Mourinho return to management. Perhaps, one would get an idea in the summer, if any window of opportunity arises.
Jose, who was sacked by Manchester United last month, is out of job, and is considering options despite being offered one. According to a report in Sky Sports, the Portuguese got a job offer from Benfica recently, but he turned it down.
The reports adds that Jose didn’t accept the offer, as he wants better options for himself. He is seeking a return to a top European club which fights for trophies.
Jose, who won three Premier League titles with Chelsea across two different spells, had joined United in 2016. He won a Europa League and League Cup double in his first season at Old Trafford, and led the club to a second-place finish last term.

But Mourinho lost his job less than 24 hours after Manchester United lost 3-1 to Liverpool back in December, and was immediately replaced by interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Jose has earlier managed the likes of FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid, and he has been successful at each of these clubs.

There are reports that suggest he could be interested in managing Real once again. The Spanish club has been enduring a horrific run in La Liga this season.
The summer could see the Special One return to management, and football fans will certainly hope it’s at the helm of one of Europe’s elite.
