It is quite a normal sight in a game of football when players celebrate goals, no matter which kind. Further, saves made by goalkeepers, be it a casual one or a crucial match-winning one, are often the causes of celebration as well.

However, Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof took it one step further on Sunday, when he celebrated an opponent’s miss at Wembley.

The Red Devils collided with Tottenham Hotspur in an exciting Premier League clash in London, which the visitors won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Marcus Rashford.

The Lilywhites failed to find the back of the net despite bombarding the opposition goal with numerous shots in the second half, all of which were kept out by David De Gea and his sensational heroics, which involved 11 saves.

In the 66th minute of the encounter, Spurs were awarded a free-kick in a promising position, with the lethal foot of Christian Eriksen on the ball.

However, the Danish playmaker shanked the set-piece wide, much to the delight of Victor Lindelof, who couldn’t help but passionately celebrate the miss.

The 24-year-old has been a solid rock at the back for Manchester United this season, and is easily the best centre-back in their star-studded squad at the moment.

And if he follows up his top-drawer displays with passionate moments such as these, it won’t be long before the former Benfica man becomes an absolute fan-favourite at the Theatre of Dreams.
