Marcus Rashford has been simply terrific under the management of new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The youngster has already established himself as the Norwegian tactician’s first-choice striker. He has been enjoying a rich vein of form as well, having bagged 6 goals and 3 assists in his last 9 appearances.
Naturally, Manchester United hope to tie the starlet down with a new long-term contract, especially with his current deal set to expire in 18 months.
The Red Devils do possess the option to extend the player’s contract by a further 12 months, but the club supposedly wishes to completely improve his overall terms.
According to Mirror, the Old Trafford outfit is prepared to double Rashford’s salary, effectively increasing his wages upto £150,000-a-week.
The 21-year-old has reportedly been attracting interest from several European powerhouses, especially Juventus and Real Madrid, and United hope this new offer will secure their academy graduate’s services for years to come.
This new deal is expected to be another show of faith from Manchester United, who have already handed the forward the glorious number 10 shirt at the start of the season.
In the meantime, Rashford will look to continue his form in his 150th appearance for the Red Devils in Saturday’s clash against Brighton, with the hopes of bettering his 7-goal Premier League tally.
