Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard was once again on the scoresheet against Arsenal. The versatile player scored his second successive goal against the Gunners across all competitions this season.

United beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates to progress into the fifth round of the competition. Following the win, the Englishman posted a photo on Instagram, which won’t go well with the fans of the London club.

Lingard posted a picture of himself performing the moonwalk celebration, whilst changing the location from the Emirates Stadium to ‘dancefloor’.

The Mancunians made it eight wins out of eight under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez, Lingard and Anthony Martial.

In the closing stages of the game, Lingard clashed with some of the Arsenal fans after a coin was thrown in his direction from the stands.

The incident occurred after a confrontation took place between Marcus Rashford and Sead Kolasinac. Prior to this incident and the Instagram post, Lingard had already angered the Arsenal supporters in the first half with his Michael Jackson moonwalk celebration.

United manager Solskjaer praised Lingard’s performance after the tie, stating: “Jesse’s a big game-player. He’s shown that for England, for us. He always pops up with goals, was it last year counter-attack goal against Arsenal?”

He also added that Lingard knows the club in and out after coming up through the ranks: “So Jesse is someone we never, never hesitate to put in a Man United team and he’s been brought through this system, he knows what this means.”
