Barcelona are keeping an eye on Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman has improved drastically since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the Red Devils, having bagged 6 goals and 3 assists in his past 12 appearances.
The 21-year-old has already replaced Romelu Lukaku as the first-choice striker at the Theatre of Dreams, and if the Norwegian secures the permanent job, Rashford could very well become the club’s primary striker for years to come.
The current La Liga leaders have identified Rashford as one of the potential long-term successors for the ageing Luis Suarez.
However, Barca are also well aware that convincing the player to part ways with Manchester United and vice versa will be an extremely difficult task.
Further, due to the absence of a release clause in the striker’s current contract with the Mancunian outfit, the England international could cost Barcelona north of €100 million (£87m) given his talent and age.
Therefore, given the difficulty of this deal, the Catalans are likely to pursue other options instead, such as Nicolas Pepe and Maxi Gomez.
