Romelu Lukaku scored twice to help Manchester United get past Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

United, who are facing an injury crisis, maintained the momentum on a night when both Arsenal and Chelsea won.

The Red Devils were missing up to eight first-team players at Selhurst Park, but they didn’t let that unsettle them. United extended their unbeaten league run under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to 14 games. The man of the moment was Lukaku, who netted in each half.

His first was a well-placed shot into the corner and then he scooped the second over goalkeeper Vicente Guaita. With this brace, Lukaku now has 10 goals across all competitions this season. The Belgian hasn’t had a strong season as per his standards, but on Wednesday he took his chances.

It was also his first goal in the Premier League since his strike against Newcastle in early January. Lukaku’s exploits saw the United fans praising the Belgian for his return to form. But many of them could not hide their surprise in seeing Lukaku this way.
