Juventus and Manchester United are set to battle for Benfica’s star duo.
The two European juggernauts are interested in securing the services of João Félix and Ruben Dias, according to Portuguese outlet Record.
The report further claims that both clubs are prepared to shell out a mammoth fee in the region of €180 million for the talented players.
Both Felix and Dias have been heavily impressive for Benfica in attack and defence respectively, which has seen them get linked with various clubs across the continent.
The Portuguese club values the forward at €120m, whereas the central defender has an evaluation worth €60m on his head.
Further, Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is unlikely to accept any sum less than the players’ release clauses, meaning interested parties will have to cough up the aforementioned fees to prize the duo away.
Super agent Jorge Mendes is expected to handle the negotiations for both the players. In fact, reports from Italy indicate that he has already been contacted by Manchester City as well as Manchester United regarding Felix.
It will be interesting to see where the duo ends up, especially with so many big clubs involved in this transfer saga.
