United’s Assistant Manager Mike Phelan Posts Hilarious Tweet After Win Against PSG
Manchester United achieved the unthinkable by defeating PSG 3-1 in the second leg of Champions League round of 16.
Their heroics on the night left the aggregate score line 3-3, with the away goal rule favoring the Red Devils. This was achieved courtesy of a brace from Romelu Lukaku and a decisive late penalty scored by Marcus Rashford in a cool and calm manner.
The penalty in question was the subject of much controversy. To start off, United felt that they had won a corner, with the referee instead taking the extra measure and accessing VAR, following which he awarded the penalty to the Red Devils, much to the dismay of the Parisians.
At the end of the day, Rashford netted the crucial goal and United were off to the quarter finals. However, one tweet of Mike Phelan certainly puts the whole situation on a lighter note.

Brilliant words from Phelan whose social media presence is impeccable. Time and time again his tweets have won the hearts of the United faithful and this time was no different.
It is amazing to see the impact Phelan has had on the lads. While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought back to the club the winning mentality that was prevalent during their reign of Sir Alex Ferguson, it is Phelan’s inputs that undoubtedly color the tactical realization of that philosophy on the pitch.
With the Norwegian likely to attain the job on a full-time basis, fans will also be hoping that Phelan choose to stay on as well.
