Lukaku Believes Solskjaer Has Already Bagged The Manchester United Job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has transformed the atmosphere around Manchester United since taking up the managerial role from Jose Mourinho. The Norwegian boss has lifted the souls in the dressing room, and it is having a wonderful effect on the pitch.

The Red Devils have pushed their way back into the Premier League Top 4, and even managed to overpower the mighty Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this week.

Ed Woodward is said to be preparing a contract for the former United striker, as Solskjaer has exceeded the hopes and expectations of every Mancunian supporter in such a short period.

Manchester United players are really happy under the new gaffer and believe that the club should offer him the permanent role immediately. One such player is Romelu Lukaku, who has put in impressive performances since Solskjaer’s arrival.

In an interview with beIN Sports, the Belgian International revealed that the 46-year old is a massive influence in the dressing room and should be given the job immediately.

“I think it has been decided [that Solskjaer will get the manager’s job permanently]. I think he is going to get the job, he should get the job,” said the star striker.

“What else does he have to do? Beat Arsenal again? That would be nice. But he keeps us hungry and we as players, we want more. That’s a good thing and it’s a good time to be part of this team.”

The Red Devils conquered the impossible in the Champions League, as they overturned a 2-0 home defeat to qualify for the quarterfinals.

United’s performances at Parc De Princes was labelled as a masterclass by a number of pundits and former players, and it could very well cement Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s spot in the managerial race at Old Trafford.
