OFFICIAL: Real Madrid Wrap Up The Signing Of In-Demand Centre-Back
Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Eder Militao from FC Porto.
It has been quite an eventful few weeks for Real Madrid – right from consecutive El Clasico defeats and heavy blows in all the competitions they were involved in this season, to eventually firing Santiago Solari from their managerial helm.
However, the Galacticos have acted swiftly to make amends, and they dropped a strong statement by re-signing Zinedine Zidane as their first-team boss.
Now, another good news has been offered to the club’s worldwide fan-base, in the form of a brand new defensive reinforcement.

Los Blancos have confirmed that Eder Militao will arrive at the at the Santiago Bernabeu from FC Porto come summer, after the Spanish capital club activated the €50 million clause in the centre-back’s contract with the Portuguese outfit.
A statement on Real Madrid‘s official website read: “Real Madrid CF and FC Porto have agreed the transfer of the player Éder Militão, who will be linked to the club during the next six seasons, until June 30, 2025.”

The 21-year-old has been heavily impressive in what has been his first season in Europe. A host of clubs from all across the continent were said to be keeping an eye on the player, including Manchester United, who were reportedly in pursuit of the Brazilian since Jose Mourinho’s days at the helm of Old Trafford.
With the former Santos starlet now Madrid-bound, it will be interesting to see if he successfully carves a long-term spot in the heart of the 13-time European champions’ backline.
