New Deal: Marcus Rashford To Earn The Same As Wayne Rooney Did In His Prime
Marcus Rashford is close to signing an enormous deal with Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has thrived under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having bagged nine goals under the Norwegian tactician, and taking his overall goal tally for the season up to 13.
He was also responsible for scoring the crucial penalty that helped the Red Devils defeat Paris Saint-Germain in a single stroke, and effective proceed to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
The talented academy graduate has gradually established himself as a very important part of the first-team lineup, and now, he wishes to be rewarded for it with a massive new contract.

According to Mirror, Rashford could be set to receive a lucrative deal consisting of astronomical wages worth £300,000-a-week – the same amount that former club captain Wayne Rooney earned before he departed from the Old Trafford club.
The forward’s current contract is set to expire come summer, with an option to extend for another year in place. But through the aforementioned offer, Manchester United intend to tie their new number 10 down at the club until at least 2024.

The salary hike would be a gigantic increase from the £80,000-a-week that Rashford is paid at present. To add more perspective, the new deal would see the starlet earn £15.8m-a-year, and an astonishing £78m over the course of the five-year contract.
The Englishman still wouldn’t be close to earning what the Mancunian giants’ top earner, Alexis Sanchez, pockets.
In fact, multiple sources are confident that the Chilean’s £500,000-a-week deal is single-handedly responsible behind United’s top stars demanding unfathomable wages in the first place.
