What Man United Fans Are Saying About De Gea After Error vs Chelsea
David de Gea’s mistake handed Chelsea a point at Old Trafford.
Manchester United’s top four hopes may be all but over, as Chelsea were able to rob a precious point from the home side.
Juan Mata gave the Red Devils lead in early minutes, however, Marcos Alonso equalized following De Gea’s error before half-time.
The Spaniard has been horrible at dispensing his duties as of late. Solskjaer went out of his way to express confidence in De Gea and rubbished claims that his poor form was due to the contract negotiation standstill, maintaining that the keeper was far too professional for those sort of antics.

However, De Gea made yet another howler on Sunday afternoon. The 28-year-old palmed Antonio Rudiger’s shot into the path of Marcos Alonso, who levelled from a tight angle.
Here’s how fans on social media reacted:
Dave needs some time off. His confidence appears to be shot to pieces right now. Take him out the spotlight for a bit. Give Sergio Romero the spot for the last two games of the season. #mufc pic.twitter.com/wSdUpQGSlq

Another nightmare for De Gea. He's been great for ages but this can't go on with a place in the top four on the line. Must be time for Sergio Romero soon.

Maybe De Gea will feel so guilty for costing us all these games recently (after saving our arses for the best part of six years) that he’ll sign a new deal. Orrrrrrr we’ll now get much less for him than we otherwise would’ve done. Bleurgh.

David de Gea’s name was chanted by the Stretford End as he came off at half time. We’re all behind you, Dave. Come on! #mufc pic.twitter.com/CpXuoAdHF2
