Ander Herrera is all set to leave Manchester United on a free transfer.
The Red Devils have confirmed Ander Herrera’s summer departure by sharing an emotional video.
The Spaniard, who joined the English side from Athletic Bilbao five-years ago, is reportedly on his way to Paris. He’ll join the Ligue 1 side on a free transfer when his contract at United expires at the end of June.
“There is red in my heart, I knew it from the first time I played here and in the moment that I started to wear it,” the midfielder expressed in a farewell video posted by United on social media.
“A club with thousands of fans that respect and remember all the players who give everything.
“I felt special when I heard my name chanted. I felt proud when the fans decided I was part of this incredible history.
“Every time I represented this club, in every game, in wins and loses, even when I couldn’t help from the grass, I understood what this club means.
“I am going to remember each of the almost 200 matches that I have played with this jersey. Because playing for the greatest club in England has been a true honour.
“Thanks for these five amazing years.”
Brilliant insight into when Ander Herrera instructed Henrikh Mkhitaryan to go forward for United’s second goal against Ajax in the Europa League Final. This is Ander Herrera. Class act! #mufc pic.twitter.com/UQLhONPi4N

Oh love how Ed Woodward and the board find resell value in Jones, Smalling and Young. But I’m 100% certain they didn’t push enough to sign Herrera’s contract even after interest from sides like Barcelona. They knew this was coming in the summer, from last season.

From man marking Hazard to being carried off the pitch by Noble to being a passionate leader on/off the pitch and those knee slide celebrations. Ander Herrera did anything to help the club, he’s left a great mark on our club in some difficult times. He can hold his head up high.

Ander Herrera(who actually deserved a new contract) is leaving Man Utd on a free transfer in the same season Man Utd gave 33 year old Ashley Young a new contract at £110,000 a week, Phil Jones at £120,000 a week and Chris Smalling at £120,000 a week. Astonishing. pic.twitter.com/GZfqbj26Nx

Ander Herrera was one of the few I’d keep in this absolute disaster of a squad. Fellaini too if we’re being honest.
We’ve lost 2 midfielders who very rarely let us down whilst offering new deals to Young & Jones who always do.
The club is honestly on its arse.
