‘Escape Route’ – European Giants Prepared To Sign Alexis Sanchez
Inter are set to offer Alexis Sanchez an ‘escape route’.
The Chilean international’s spell at Manchester United has been an absolute nightmare right from the very beginning.
He has only managed to score one goal during the entirety of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign, and as per multiple sources, is eager to make a new beginning elsewhere.
The 30-year-old has been unable to attract a lot of suitors, however, due to his abysmal form, age, and the eye-watering £500,000-per-week salary he earns at the English outfit.
But now, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan are prepared to offer Alexis a way out of Manchester come summer.
The report indicates that Sanchez’s agent has already met with the officials of the Serie A club, and a move is definitely on the cards, provided the player accepts a huge pay cut.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also eager to offload the Manchester United number 7, so as to free up the wage bill and repair the wage structure at the club.
Sanchez has ample experience of playing in Italy, having spent five years at Udinese before making his mega move to Barcelona.
It remains to be seen whether his switch to Inter does materialise, considering the San Siro outfit is set to replace Luciano Spalletti with a new manager; Antonio Conte being the most likely candidate.
