Angel Gomes is considering a move away from Manchester United.
The 18-year-old made just two appearances of the senior Red Devils’ side in the Premier League this season, spending a majority of the campaign playing for the U23s.
However, the midfielder supposedly believes he should have been given more chances with the first-team, and that playing for the youth side is stalling his development.
Therefore, Gomes is considering departing from the Old Trafford outfit in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
A source close to the player has revealed that Gomes wants to take on bigger challenges, and he might not get the opportunity to do so at Manchester United next season.
Further, the England youth international is also believed to be upset with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comments about his physicality – the Norwegian had suggested that Gomes was ‘physically more fragile than would be desirable’.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be the biggest suitors for the teenager, although a host of clubs from Portugal and Spain have also expressed their interest.
Will Gomes pull off a Paul Pogba and quit the Mancunian outfit, or will Solskjaer convince him to stay put for yet another season?
