Manchester United have established contact with Leicester City midfielder James Madison.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the lookout for promising young talents with the right attitude and work ethic, the Red Devils have now set their sights on James Madison.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Foxes this term, bagging seven goal and seven assists for the King Power outfit.

He has since attracted interest from several clubs, but now, Manchester United are being dubbed as the frontrunners in this transfer race.

According to the Daily Record, the Mancunian giants have established contact with Madison’s representatives over a potential transfer in the ongoing summer window.

Leicester City supposedly value the player at £60 million – a huge fee, but one that the Reds can easily match given their financial resources.

The report does add that the England U21 international has his own reservations regarding the switch to Old Trafford, due to the absence of Champions League football as well as the lack of guaranteed first-team action.

However, with Real Madrid renewing their interest in signing Paul Pogba, Madison could easily end up becoming a guaranteed starter if Manchester United fail to hold onto their French talisman.
