Barcelona Have Opened Talks With Man United Over Marcus Rashford Transfer
Barcelona have opened talks with Marcus Rashford over a potential summer switch.
Rashford equaled his best return in terms of goals this season since making his debut in 2016, as he bagged 13 goals in 47 appearances for the Red Devils.
The 21-year-old also displaced Romelu Lukaku as the new first-choice striker under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and he is expected to lead the team’s attack for the years to come.
However, the Englishman has failed to agree on a new long-term contract with the Old Trafford outfit, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
Now, Barcelona seem eager to take full advantage of this fact, with Spanish outlet Sport claiming that the reigning La Liga champions have begun talks to sign Rashford.

Manchester United will demand no less than €100 million for the services of their prized asset. However, the Catalan giants might just end up meeting the huge demand, as Ernesto Valverde has been left heavily impressed with the youngster’s ability to play all across the frontline.
Further, with Barca ready to offload the likes of Jose Semedo, Philippe Coutinho, and Ousmane Dembele at the right price, generating funds to pull off the signing of Rashford might not be that difficult a task.
Solskjaer, meanwhile, hopes the United number 10 will stay put at the Theatre of Dreams, and aim to break Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record at the club. When asked about it, Ole told the Telegraph: “That would be fantastic.
“We know all the quality legends that we have had at this club who have stayed so long. They’ve been one club players and we hope Rashy is going to be one of them. It’s up to both him and us of course. If he keeps producing he will stay in the team.”
