Man City look set to end their pursuit of Harry Maguire.

The Leicester City star has attracted a lot of interest from several Premier League giants of late, especially due to his impressive performances for the English national team.

Amongst the centre-back’s suitors are the newly crowned champions of England, Manchester City.

The Sky Blues are said to be looking at Maguire as a potential replacement for Vincent Kompany, who has parted ways with the Etihad outfit, returning to Anderlecht as a player-manager.

As per Mirror, the Cityzens are prepared to break the £60m club record fee they paid to the Foxes for Riyad Mahrez last summer, in order to secure Maguire’s services.

However, Leicester City are holding out for a fee in the region of £90m, which will most definitely lead the Mancunians to pursue other defensive options.

This development will undoubtedly come as a huge boost for Manchester United, who are also looking at Maguire to solve their issues at the back.
