Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bruno Fernandes.
The Sporting Lisbon star enjoyed an impressive campaign, as he scored 32 goals and bagged 18 assists in 53 games through the course of last season.
He also played a huge role in helping the Portuguese national team win the UEFA Nations League title, dropping an eye-catching performance in the final against the Netherlands.
The youngster’s playing style, coupled with his ability to score goals, has led people to liken him with Chelsea‘s legendary midfielder, Frank Lampard.
In fact, as per Italian outlet Radio Rossonera, the Red Devils are currently “working on the last details” of their agreement with the playmaker, and are “very close to signing him”.
The Old Trafford outfit is expected to cough up a fee in the region of £70 million to seal this transfer ahead of other interested suitors.
The Portuguese international will serve as the chief attacking midfielder for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, although he could also serve as the successor for Paul Pogba in central midfield if the Frenchman ends up leaving the Manchester club.
