Manchester United have identified a new target for the right-back position.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eager to bring in a new first-choice right-back, the Mancunian giants identified Crystal Palace sensation Aaron Wan-Bissaka as their primary target.

The Red Devils even submitted an offer worth £40m for the Englishman, which was turned down straightaway by the Eagles.

United are now said to be preparing an improved offer in the range of £50m, but Palace are expected to hold out for a bid around £60m.

Wan-Bissaka’s high valuation has reportedly led Solskjaer to look at alternative options, and Manchester United seem to have identified a brand new target.

According to Sky Sports, the Old Trafford club is now exploring the option of signing Norwich City starlet Max Aarons.

Having played a huge role in helping Norwich win the 2018-19 EFL Championship title, Aarons was named the EFL Young Player of the Season, and also included in the PFA Championship team of the year.

The 19-year-old has been on the radar of  Tottenham Hotspur and Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, and now, Manchester United have also entered the fray.

Crystal Palace are also said to be monitoring the English teenager, in case they do end up losing Wan-Bissaka this summer.

However, Norwich will hope to hold onto their prized asset, especially since the full-back signed a new long-term contract only last October.
