Solskjaer Wants La Liga Forward To Replace Romelu Lukaku
Manchester United have expressed interest in Wissam Ben Yedder.
Romelu Lukaku’s recent comments indicate that he might be set to depart from the Old Trafford outfit this summer, meaning the Mancunians will have to look in the market for a replacement.
United have been linked with various striking options so far, and now, reports suggest that they have registered their interest in yet another player.
According to local Spanish news outlet La Colina de Nervion, the Red Devils have identified Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder as a potential transfer target.
The 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, wherein he bagged 30 goals and 11 assists in 54 appearances for the La Liga club.

Didier Deschamps rewarded the striker with an international call-up, and he scored his first goal for France during Les Bleus’ 4-0 win over Andorra in the 2020 Euros qualifier.
As per the report, Ben Yedder is amongst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s “favourite options” for the striker’s role, and Manchester United are one of the interested parties to have shown “the most interest” in his services.
The Premier League giants will face no issues in paying the Frenchman’s €40m (£35.6m) release clause, especially with Romelu Lukaku expected to be offloaded for a hefty fee.
