Solskjaer Explains Why Juan Mata Was Awarded A New Deal

Many Manchester United supporters were left confused as to why Juan Mata was awarded a fresh three-year extension to his contract. The general consensus was that Old Trafford requires fresher legs and a player well over thirty ought to not be entertained at the club anymore.

I am delighted that he has signed a new contract, as I know that his talent and mentality will be invaluable to the squad.”

This is an indication that United will be nurturing younger feet under the tutelage of Solskjaer, a return to their roots.
