Manchester United’s pursuits appear to have taken a more varied approach after securing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Having perhaps come to terms with the fact that top players from big teams may not be persuaded to move, largely due to their lack of Champions League football for next season, the Red Devils are now hoping to attract upcoming young talent from elsewhere.

It has been widely reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign midfield replacements for Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini and potentially even look at Paul Pogba’s replacement.

As of such, a host of talented midfielders have been linked to the club with Sean Longstaff and Bruno Fernandes rumored to be their most likely signings.

However, now United have a different player in mind as well.

According to Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti, United are interested in signing Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb.

The 21-year-old midfielder impressed heavily with Spain during the recently concluded European U-21 Championship which was won by Spain, his contribution including being named the man of the match during the final versus Germany.

The report goes on to add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company are willing to spend £35 million for his signature.

In addition to his youth, the versatility that he has displayed with both Spain and Zagreb is immensely promising as he can effectively function across the midfield line- a talent that is highly valued at Old Trafford.

Further, other Premier League giants like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are also thought to be interested in him as are Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The Gunners and the Red Devils are the only names on the list who can’t offer Champions League football to the starlet.

It has to be noted that the youngster’s performances in the tournament may have leapfrogged him into popularity and as of such the extent of scouring done may be questionable.
