Despite Paul Pogba’s future being in a tricky situation, it appears that Manchester United are adamant on their stance.

The club will not sell the player of their own accord nor will they take part in any deal involving player swaps. The only way for the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid to attain the World-Cup winner is by paying United’s stated amount of €170 million in full and in straight cash.

Mino Raiola’s admission that the Frenchman has a clear-cut desire to depart does take away a bit of bargaining power from the Mancunian giants, but they appear to be steadfast in their approach.

The bigger worry for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to replace the player who topped all charts for them last campaign. Now, a talent may be identified in that regard.

As per the Sun, United are set to hold talks to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with his agent flying into London on Saturday. The club have been linked with the Serbian midfielder for a while now, with interest believed to have peaked last season.

However, the Lazio talent was thought to be too pricey then. That may have changed now, with the report claiming that United may value him below the £100 million mark. If the Pogba deal goes as the Red Devils plan it to, this deal will certainly be a great one in view of the windfall.

Real Madrid Offer €80m Plus Isco For Paul Pogba To Man United

At 24 years of age, Serej is certainly a good replacement for the Frenchman, despite having finished a relatively lackluster campaign. He is a terrific passer of the ball and formidable threat in aerial duels, which will work great at Old Trafford.

If United do succeed in acquiring him, however, it will be interesting to see whether he’ll also inherit Pogba’s luxury of having the team built around him.

With Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez also in the news as Pogba’s replacement, it certainly appears that a lot of potential names will make the news in the coming days.
