Paul Pogba’s future has proven to be the ideal breeding ground for speculation. The Frenchman is certainly exit-bound from Manchester United but his own reputation may now be causing troubles to the deal.

While Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane desire him deeply at the Bernabeu, the same ambition is shared by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too.

The World Cup winner was United’s best performer in an otherwise distraught season and it is clear that the Norwegian gaffer wants to capitalize on that and build the team around him for the upcoming campaign.

Further, the player’s commercial appeal is far too strong, with Ed Woodward and company considering him unsellable.

Despite that, his agent Mino Raiola clearly robbed United of their negotiating power when he openly stated that a move was on. However, in the midst of all these rumors, Pogba has still elected to join his teammates in their tour to Australia.

While this may fill supporters of the Red Devils with ample hope, there may be an ulterior reason.

As per the AS, Pogba has joined the Premier League giants on their tour simply because that’s what Real Madrid want him to do.

The Spanish giants do not wish for there to be any kind of friction or animosity between the player and the club and as of such have allegedly encouraged Pogba to continue as usual with United while a deal is worked out behind the scenes.

Just how much of the intended effect is achieved remains to be seen. The fans on social media have been quite critical of the Frenchman’s outspoken desire to leave.

Many have advocated that United simply don’t need such a negative presence in their roster and have been urging the higher-ups to sell him and let the club rebuild with a younger squad.
