Daniel James has dropped some impressive training antics during his first few days at Manchester United.
The pacey winger completed his major transfer from Swansea City to the Theatre of Dreams last month, in a deal worth £15 million.
He then traveled to Dubai for some warm-weather training, in order to up his fitness levels and prepare himself for a huge campaign in the top flight of English football.
Now, it appears that the fitness training has reaped humongous rewards, as evident from the 21-year-old’s performances in pre-season training.
According to The Sun, James heavily impressed the coaching and fitness staff at the AON Training Complex, by performing marvellously and coming out on top in long and short sprints.
Further, the Welshman also beat his fellow Manchester United teammates – which include some pacey and world-class footballers – by huge margins using his sheer lightning speed.
An inside source confirmed as much, telling the English news outlet: “The word from Carrington is very encouraging on young James. He is clearly ahead of the game. He has topped all the early fitness charts. Ole was impressed with seeing him doing his own work.
“He came out top in the sprints, even the short ones, by a good margin of five or so yards. He did one fifty metre sprint that left team-mates five metres behind him and also maxing out the bleep test.”
