What Pogba Told Wan-Bissaka Before His Manchester United Debut
Paul Pogba offered Aaron Wan-Bissaka words of advice before Manchester United’s opening pre-season game.
Having arrived at the Old Trafford club in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace, Wan-Bissaka made his debut for the Red Devils during their opening fixture against Perth Glory.
The right-back was fielded alongside a completely altered lineup in the second half, beside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Chris Smalling, and Paul Pogba.
In the 45 minutes he spent on the pitch, the 21-year-old was heavily impressive, with his defensive presence and exceptional slide tackles stealing the show.

Now, M.E.N. have revealed that Wan-Bissaka was offered some valuable advice by Paul Pogba before kick-off, and that may have played a part in his impressive performance.
The report states that Pogba asked the youngster to fully utilise his speed in order to storm up and down the right flank, and effectively assert total dominance on the wing.

This advice was further reinforced by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer just moments before the match began, as the Norwegian has already been left impressed by Wan-Bissaka’s speed.
“Is anyone faster than James?,” the Manchester United gaffer had said during his pre-match press conference.
“Maybe Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The two of them do have top, top speed.”
