What Man United Fans Are Saying About Mason Greenwood’s Performance vs Leeds
Manchester United emerged triumphantly yet again in their pre-season tour, this time by defeating their rivals Leeds United in a 4-0 goal-fest.
Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, and Anthony Martial were all on the score-sheet as the Red Devils put up yet another impressive game.
United supporters had the pleasure of seeing Mason Greenwood finally find the back of the net in a senior team jersey.
Against Perth Glory, the 17-year-old was repeatedly shy of the target, often hitting the woodwork, but against Leeds, the academy graduate was successful in translating a sublime Aaron Wan-Bissaka pass into the back of the net, early on in the first-half.

Lots of positives for United against Leeds. Pogba, Rashford, James, Greenwood, Gomes and Chong. Four goals, one good save from Romero. On to Singapore.

I have learnt a lot about these guys on this tour.
Greenwood: Similar to RVP. Skillful, great finisher. Two-footed. Generational talent. Bound to start games this season.
Chong: Runs a lot. Will fight for the badge. Quick. Can take players on 1v1. Needs better end product.

Solskjaer has repeatedly stated that Greenwood will get more chances to play this season after impressing immensely in the last campaign.
When the Norwegian was awarded the full-time gig at Old Trafford, fans were eagerly hoping that the Red Devils would stop wasting enormous sums over marquee signings and would instead promote their own academy graduates.

In fact, the Norwegian did say after the game that Greenwood could in fact start against Chelsea in the opening game of United’s Premier League season.
Could Greenwood be the first success story of Ole’s tenure as a promoter of youth talent? Time will tell.
