Manchester United registered their second win of the 2019 pre-season tour on Wednesday, thumping old rivals Leeds United 4-0.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fielded two different sets of teams for either halves, and here’s how they fared down under:

SERGIO ROMERO – 7

The reliable backup goalkeeper made a good save from Patrick Bamford to maintain the clean sheet at 1-0.

AARON WAN-BISSAKA – 8

Fans were thrilled to witness the unusual sight of their right-back marauding down the flank and dominating in both defence and attack. Bagged the assist for Greenwood’s opener.

ERIC BAILLY – 7

Made a crucial block at 1-0, and dealt with the attacking threat successfully.

VICTOR LINDELOF – 8

An impressive display from the birthday boy. Made a brilliant run out from the defence that created a goalscoring opportunity for Rashford.

MARCOS ROJO – 7

Wasn’t troubled much. A confident performance, which involved some fancy keepy-uppys.

SCOTT MCTOMINAY – 8

A good display in central midfield. Combined well with Pogba, and his easy pass set up Rashford’s goal.

PAUL POGBA – 8

Leeds’ man-markers couldn’t stop him from controlling the game from his deep-lying playmaker role. His phenomenal pass to Wan-Bissaka made the opening goal possible.

JUAN MATA – 6.5

Complimented United’s young attack well, and looked a lot more comfortable in the number 10 position.

MASON GREENWOOD – 7

Bagged a poacher’s goal to open the scoring. Positioned himself well and made smart runs. Looks an interesting prospect for the season to come.

DANIEL JAMES – 7

Leeds simply could not deal with his pace. Hit the post on the counter, but needs work on his finishing and decision-making.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 8

Hit the post early in the game. Showed his composure by capping off a counter with a skillful, well-taken goal.

Second-Half

JOEL PEREIRA – 6

Wasn’t troubled. Comfortable on the ball.

DIOGO DALOT – 6

Offered width.

CHRIS SMALLING – 6

Did the job at the back. Could have positioned himself better.

PHIL JONES – 7

Scored a rare direct header from a corner kick.

ASHLEY YOUNG – 5

Booked for a dangerous and vengeful tackle.

NEMANJA MATIC – 6

Did his usual job of shielding the backline, but appeared too static. Subbed due to a potential injury scare.

ANDREAS PEREIRA – 7

Had urgency in his play. Delivered a pinpoint corner onto Jones’ head.

ANGEL GOMES – 6.5

Creative. Showed great composure around the box.

JESSE LINGARD – 6

Did not offer anything spectacular.

TAHITH CHONG – 8

A prime attacking threat. Won a penalty with his quick feet.
