Solskjaer Names The Two Midfielders That Will Replace Ander Herrera This Season
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named the two players that could replace Ander Herrera this season.
Herrera departed from the Old Trafford club following the expiry of his contract this summer, subsequently signing for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
The Red Devils have since been on the lookout for reinforcements in that very position, as their midfield department looks to be in need for some solid strengthening.
Newcastle starlet Sean Longstaff and Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes have been heavily linked with the Mancunians for weeks, but none of these transfers appear close to completion.

Now, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that instead of signing a direct replacement for Ander Herrera from the transfer market, he will be relying on the already existent options within his squad.
Further, the Norwegian also admitted that James Garner, despite being a huge talent, will only be used sparingly in the first-team next season.

Speaking of Garner, Ole stated (via Metro): “Jimmy is young, he’s very young — only 18 — so you can’t expect too much from him but you can see he is going to be a top player.
“Andy [Pereira] I expect a lot more from, Scotty [McTominay] I expect a lot more from. Those two between them had maybe 15, 20 starts last season.
“You expect them to have at least 20 each this year, maybe even more. That’s maybe two players into one that can replace Ander [Herrera].”
