Gareth Bale “dreams” of securing a move to Manchester United.

The Welshman has been heavily linked with a Real Madrid exit, and he almost completed his mega move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning, after they offered him a deal worth £1m-per-week.

But the sensational transfer to the Far East appears to have fallen through at the last moment, meaning the pacey winger will have to stay put at the Spanish capital for the time being.

In fact, he might also be heavily involved in Zinedine Zidane’s lineup next season, following the long-term injury to Marco Asensio.

If Bale insists of leaving, however, links with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham, and Manchester United could very well reemerge.

But according to Marca, the 30-year-old has only two realistic destinations if he chooses to depart: a new Chinese club, or the Premier League.

The report adds that Bale himself “dreams” of securing a move to Old Trafford over other options. However, whether Manchester United have any interest in signing him remains to be seen.

If this switch were to materialise, not only will the Wales international have to take a massive pay-cut, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also have to give-up his new philosophy of recruiting emerging talents.

The Norwegian was asked about the possibility of signing Bale back in March, to which he had replied (via Goal): “I can’t really comment on Gareth Bale or specific players because they’re property of other clubs. But we should look for quality players, definitely, and players who could improve us as a team.”
