It was a mixed opening spell for Manchester United after starting off the Premier League season with a bang through their 4-0 victory against Chelsea.

However, in their second game of the campaign away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Red Devils were limited to a 1-1 draw with Anthony Martial on the scoresheet for them and Ruben Neves netting the crucial equalizer for the home side.

After the fixture, a few supporters reiterated their demand that United sign more players in future windows or promote more youth talent, particularly as Jesse Lingard was deemed to be inadequate in their attacking midfield.

Now, the Sun claims that United already have their winter transfer plans set. The Red Devils could go all-out in January in an attempt to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old emerged onto the European radar after impressing with the German giants last season and is now an in-demand British talent. United were linked with him this summer itself but Dortmund persisted in not selling him.

The report claims that Solskjaer has been handed a £100 million war chest in order to acquire the starlet although the deal could well surpass that mind-boggling amount.

It appears as if the higher-ups at Old Trafford are eager to not miss out on Champions League football and silverware for two seasons in a row and have thus prioritized this signing.

While Sancho is not strictly the creative central talent that United desperately need, he can still bring a world-class presence to their frontline. Besides, the versatility he has shown is also quite promising.

What remains to be seen is whether Dortmund will comply with letting him go in the new year. Past reports had suggested that they were on the lookout for the youngster’s possible replacement and that Man City were also interested in making the transfer.
