Harry Maguire has settled in seamlessly at Manchester United, according to his fellow club teammates.

The star centre-back completed his record-breaking switch to the Theatre of Dreams towards the end of the summer transfer window, following a prolonged spell of negotiations between his new and former clubs.

The 26-year-old was put straight into competitive action by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the Englishman made his debut for the Reds in an opening day 4-0 Premier League win over Chelsea.

Maguire was barely given enough time to soak in the brand new atmosphere. In spite of that, the defender’s fellow teammates have revealed that he adapted to life at Manchester United very easily.

Speaking to the club’s official website, goalkeeper Lee Grant revealed: “It’s been seamless. Harry has definitely slotted straight in, in terms of the social side and in terms of his mentality and attitude, which has been first class.

“The most important thing, though, is his quality and he was able to show that against Chelsea. We could all see he is quite at home in front of the Old Trafford crowd and quite at home as a Manchester United player.”

Grant’s words were echoed by young Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot, who opined: “He’s so calm. He’s settled in perfectly. He’s a very nice guy, very humble, very quick to settle.

“We’ll keep helping him, but I think he’s already shown everyone on the pitch that he’s ready for this club.”
