Alexis Sanchez has confirmed his Manchester United departure by posting a farewell message on social media.

The Chilean never really got going since making the switch to Old Trafford from Arsenal, and was deemed surplus to requirements by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even before the 2019-20 season began.

Despite his poor 18-month spell in Manchester, the forward’s talent attracted interest from several clubs. However, none had the financial muscle to pull this transfer off.

Now, it appears the 30-year-old has finally found a new destination to ply his trade, in the form of Serie A outfit Inter Milan.

As per reports, the two clubs have agreed a 10-month loan deal for Alexis Sanchez, wherein Inter will be paying half of the superstar’s humongous £400,000 a week salary.

The player himself has confirmed this switch by posting a farewell message on his official social media handle.

Sanchez uploaded an Instagram post wherein he can be seen posing with his Manchester United teammates, wishing them the best for the season to come.

The caption simply reads: “Good luck for the rest of the season @manchesterunited.”

It will be interesting to see whether Alexis gets back to his best in Milan, and if he combines with Romelu Lukaku to form a successful attacking force under manager Antonio Conte.
