Manchester United fans have blasted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his comments after the clash against AZ Alkmaar.

The Red Devils faced off against the Dutch outfit in what was their first Europa League group stage encounter of the season, with the match ending in a goalless stalemate.

The game was a dull affair from the away team’s point of view, and a majority of the Manchester United fan-base was left furious with their team’s ineffective tactics, lethargic approach, and the complete failure to test opposition goalkeeper on the night.

However, the fury crossed another level after the game, following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shocking post match interview.

Speaking to the media after the 0-0 draw, Solskjaer surprisingly stated: “Very happy with the boys, we come away with a good performance. Should have been three points, a nailed on penalty. You can’t even discuss it.

“It’s a good point away from home against a difficult opponent on a difficult surface. We made many changes and I’m very pleased. It should have been a win. I’m fed up of talking about penalties we should have had.”

Solskjaer’s assessment of the game, and his satisfaction with his players’ performances, was met with huge uproar from the club’s supporters on social media.
