Man United Fans Blast Solskjaer For His Comments After Alkmaar Draw
Manchester United fans have blasted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his comments after the clash against AZ Alkmaar.
The Red Devils faced off against the Dutch outfit in what was their first Europa League group stage encounter of the season, with the match ending in a goalless stalemate.
The game was a dull affair from the away team’s point of view, and a majority of the Manchester United fan-base was left furious with their team’s ineffective tactics, lethargic approach, and the complete failure to test opposition goalkeeper on the night.
However, the fury crossed another level after the game, following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shocking post match interview.
Speaking to the media after the 0-0 draw, Solskjaer surprisingly stated: “Very happy with the boys, we come away with a good performance. Should have been three points, a nailed on penalty. You can’t even discuss it.

“It’s a good point away from home against a difficult opponent on a difficult surface. We made many changes and I’m very pleased. It should have been a win. I’m fed up of talking about penalties we should have had.”
Solskjaer’s assessment of the game, and his satisfaction with his players’ performances, was met with huge uproar from the club’s supporters on social media.
Here are some of the reactions to the Norwegian’s comments from social networking website, Twitter:
Bizarre interview from Solskjaer. He used the words “good performance” twice. He said Man Utd “should’ve won all three points” and “you can’t even deny it.”
Alkmaar had twice as many shots and 10 times as many corners. Utd didn’t have a single shot on target. The guy is deluded.

Why is Solskjaer happy with the boys?
This his nice guy attitude isn't helping himself or the players at all.
They'll keep on underperforming as long as he'll keep taking the fall for them.

Manchester United now at 10 games without an away win, worst run in 30 years.
Worst league start in 3 decades; 10th after 7 games.
2 wins in last 12 PL games.
Scored more than 1 goal just once in last 16 matches.

It just gets worse for #mufc.
Last night Solskjaer laughed off United’s troubles in front of goal – but this is no joking matter.
One shot on target, seven goals in nine games, 10 away games without a win.— James Robson (@jamesrobsonES) October 3, 2019
ZERO shots on target and my manager is on the pitch laughing and joking with opposition players.
Solskjaer is living in his own little bubble. The fake positivity and smiling after games when we’re on a run of 5 wins in 22 games is nothing short of a piss take.
