Twitter Reacts To Andreas Periera’s Performance Against Liverpool
Manchester United’s dreaded encounter against Liverpool turned out to be much better than many anticipated and several fans who would have pleaded for a draw earlier may now feel that the 1-1 scoreline could have been avoided.
A more compact Red Devils squad led the charge in the first-half with Marcus Rashford scoring the opener, albeit under controversial circumstances. Sadio Mane appeared to have equalized minutes later only for the goal to be ruled out since the forward’s arm made contact with the ball.
Despite that, the persistent nature of Klopp’s intent ensured that substitute Adam Lallana was able to score in the 85th minute.
United players displayed a great spirit for most of the game and fans appeared intrigued by the efforts of Andreas Pereira, in particular.

Most supporters identified the midfielder’s tactical prowess and ability to press during the game. There were many who felt that this was, in fact, the youngster’s best performance at United yet.

Despite losing possession more times than anyone else on the pitch, Andreas Pereira has also made more recoveries than anyone else on the pitch with 8.

This has to be Pereira's best game for us. He has been brilliant so far!

I know we all have our reservations against Pereira.
But that boy ran in and out of every possible part on the field today.
Tried scoring without any thought and failed, but still! He enjoyed the game today, and made it enjoyable for us to watch.#MUNLIV #MUFC #PL— Swagata Das (@Sticks_N_Shots) October 20, 2019
However, the more critical fans continued to be disappointed in his showings, lamenting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s insistence at starting him.
Ole obsession with Andreas Pereira is worse than José Mourinho obsession with Fellaini…

Decent start here but Pereira has been so horribly wasteful.

In that regard, now that Anthony Martial is slowly working his way back to fitness, it will be interesting to see if Pereira will be granted a start again. Marcus Rashford is likely to occupy that right-wing with Daniel James forming the left prong of the attack.
Is Pereira a potential yet to be tapped into or simply a player lacking in quality?
