‘End Of Shaw’ – Twitter Reacts To Brandon Williams’ Performance vs Partizan
Manchester United continued their splendid unbeaten run in the Europa League with a 1-0 victory away to Partizan in Serbia.
The English side engineered the victory through Anthony Martial’s penalty late in the first half, although the home side often looked keen on equalizing.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer certainly took radical steps for this tiring away fixture, making seven changes from the starting lineup that faced Liverpool last weekend and needless to say, the fresh legs on the pitch did show a different side of United.
Amongst these, fans appeared pleased with the performances of one player, in particular.

Academy graduate Brandon Williams won the hearts of the spectators with his contributions during the game. The 19-year-old also played the all-important role of winning United the penalty that Martial would go on to score and secure them all three points.
Many took to social media to heap praises on this new potential Red Devil. The major point of comparison was between him and Ashley Young and Luke Shaw, particularly with regard to the quality of his runs into the penalty-box as a left-back.
Whisper it, but Williams might just be the end of Shaw. #MUFC

Williams is exactly what we need. A left-back who's relentless and just bombs forward at every right moment

Strong runs. Attacks space. Right footed LB. Technical ability.

Williams is in a long list of promising academy graduates at United. Solskjaer is expected to give more time to them and then consider potential loans in the winter window so that they pick up valuable experience.
Such a promising display from Williams is likely to make him a popular candidate when form or injury next limit the club’s options at wing-back.
