Manchester United have regained much composure and stitched together back-to-back wins yet again as they secured victory against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The full-time whistle saw the scoreline read 3-1, with United boasting of goals from Andreas Pereira and Marcus Rashford as well as an own-goal from Devy Propper to their credit while the Seagulls had to contend themselves with a Dewis Lunk header.

There was much attacking swagger to the approach of the home side, particularly after netting the third goal.

In fact, Marcus Rashford may have gotten ahead of himself due to the side’s winning position and did something absolutely criminal.

Having missed moments after netting the third goal, Rashford was hungry for more and was a constant threat on the left-flank.

In the 75th minute, when the opportunity presented itself, the Englishman was on the flank once again and decided to nutmeg an innocent Davy Propper.

The sheer quality and skill of that move was well-appreciated by Twitter who heaped praise on United’s top goalscorer so far this season.

However, the picturesque move didn’t end in a goal and many of Rashford’s attempts in that last period of play ended like that, with the forward capable of easily netting a hattrick.

The sheer increase in the quality of his style after Anthony Martial’s return from injury has been a joy to watch. Their link-up play is excellent as is the confidence with which they operate when given apt freedom.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must take a careful look at this partnership and ensure that it continues to flourish in that fashion.
